Recording a Payment on a Sale
If a sale was saved with Partial or Pending status, you can collect the outstanding amount at any time.
Steps
- Open the sale (from Sales list or the member's profile)
- Click Add Payment
- Enter the amount being paid now
- Select the payment method
- Select the cash/bank account
- Optionally add a payment reference (UTR, cheque number)
- Click Save
What happens
- If the payment clears the full remaining balance → sale status changes to Paid
- If still a partial payment → status stays Partial with the updated remaining amount
- The payment is recorded in the Payments ledger and linked to the sale
Multiple payments on one sale
You can collect payment in multiple instalments. Each Add Payment adds to the collected amount until the sale is fully paid.
Supported payment methods

Finding sales with outstanding dues
Go to Dues → Sales tab to see all sales with remaining amounts across all members in one place.
